Kota Tourism

Kota Tourism is the third most populous cities of Rajasthan that lies along the mighty river Chambal that is visited most often by a large number of tourists throughout the year. You can come across a lot of activities that are delightful in Kota like, boat riding, bird watching, watching crocodiles, and visiting the river shores. Kota is mainly famous as a study center for all the medical and engineering aspirants who immigrate from all across the country, in general for it is believed that the place has the best coaching centers. This place is a lively and active location, being an industrial hub with a large number of power plants in and around the city. Last but not the least, Kota is also known for its fabric with its trademark, Kota Doriya that is tender, and a translucent material that has been a part of the place since history.

Best Time to Visit Kota
If you want to plan an outing to Kota, when you are in Rajasthan, then make sure that you do the same during the winter months from October to March and not in summers and monsoons. This is because monsoons spoil the transfers from one place to another, and summers are unbearably hot. So, choose the pleasant climatic conditions during winter season to count on the sightseeing spots with ease and convenience.

Places to visit in Kota

Seven Wonders Park - The park is around 4 km away from the city center and is recently opened with the theme of showcasing the seven wonders of the world in a glimpse namely, Taj Mahal, Pyramids of Egypt, Eiffel Tower, Brazil's Christ the Redeemer, Statue of Liberty and Rome's Colosseum.

Kishore Sagar - Kishore Sagar is another artificial lake that was incepted in 1346 that was constructed by the Bundi prince Dehra Deh. It is located 4 km away from the city center, on the side of the Brij Vilas museum.

Garadia Mahadev Temple - Situated at a distance of 17 km from the city center, you will encounter the Garadia Mahadev Temple that is one of the most beautiful destinations in Daulatganj, Kota dedicated to the shrines of Lord Shiva. It is escalated at a height of 500 feet from the sea level, witnessed by the mighty river Chambal on the side.

Chambal Garden - The Chambal Garden is another beautiful spot in Kota, at a distance of 7 km. You will be delighted to spend time in this picnic spot that is located at Amar Niwas on the landscape of Chambal river that is a habitat for the crocodiles.

City Palace - The City Palace is the amalgamation of both Mughal and Rajasthani art and architecture that is the sign and symbol of the royal past. Every year, thousands of tourists visit this place.
